I employed this palette as a squeegee in a smeared-paint experiment that never amounted to anything, but the accidental patterns left sparked my imagination. Early on I saw rough landscape forms hidden there. The scene that developed on top of that was no doubt influenced by science fiction books I read recently: The Three Body Problem Trilogy, The Killer Star, The Children of Time, Project Hail Mary, and Mickey 7.
