INTANGIBLES: DREAM AND DISILLUSION
The best of both worlds. In 1989, I had set aside a month to do a painting for myself when I got a call about doing the cover for an Arthur C. Clarke short story collection. I was able to use the painting for the cover with one minor change-the publisher wanted me to replace the egg with a little spaceship. I painted the egg and then painted the ship on a piece of removable tape over it. When I got the painting back from the publisher I peeled off the tape.
