MICHAEL NAMED 2009 INDUCTEE TO SF HALL OF FAME

The Science Fiction Hall of Fame has announced this year’s 4 Inductees: Artist Michael Whelan, Author Connie Willis, Publisher Edward Ferman, and artist Frank R. Paul.

The Hall of Fame honors the lives, works, and ongoing legacies of science fiction’s greatest creators. This year’s inductees join only 53 other SF luminaries including HG Wells, Jules Verne, Isaac Asimov, Steven Spielberg, Rod Serling, Gene Roddenberry, Frank Herbert, Anne McCaffrey, Ray Bradbury, Ridley Scott, Chesley Bonestell, and William Gibson, displayed on an interactive glass wall at the Hall of Fame. Michael is the first living artist to be honored.

The Induction Ceremony will be June 27 at the SF Museum and Hall of Fame in Seattle, WA, hosted by author Christopher Moore.
