2018 Gallery Project – Installment 5

As a solitary painter, I’m not usually comfortable working in front of anyone. When asked to do a demo at a museum show or SF convention, I like to get going by giving an audience member a brush and paint. I enjoy the challenge of trying to turn the mark they make on a board or piece of canvas into something!

This began as a demo piece but I ran out of time to finish it at the event. When I found it a few months later in my studio, I completed it with oils leftover from another painting.
