This iconic cover art for Robert Heinlein’s novel of the same name appears to be a straightforward portrait of the main character. But, it holds many examples of Michael’s trademark symbolism: the egg-shaped window (motherhood), the planet where she settles down at the end of the story (the center of which is her heart), and of course the zipper pulls (her vibrant sexuality).
