For many years, Michael has created a holiday-themed image for Whelan family cards. Each December he would find himself thinking about the year gone by and the state of the world both personally and for all of humankind. While it can be easy to look back and feel sadness, this painting is a gentle reminder that sometimes we can find peace on earth in the smallest gestures.
