Working out pose for a hero on a cover is always a complicated task. For A MEMORY OF LIGHT, I needed to illustrate scene, but also convey Rand’s integrity and determination not just to fans, but to everyone walking by in a bookstore.
Although this is my own favorite sketch, Rand needed to be facing viewer.
