WARMING HER WINGS

On a family trip through South Wales, we were walking near the ruins of Penard Castle and I saw my daughter Alexa framed by a beam of light falling through the doorway. The glowing light reminded me of the times when she was little and she would play in our yard at home, bathed by the late afternoon sun. Gorgeous moments to remember forever.

When I decided to produce another painting for my Portals series, these memories became my main inspiration. The butterfly, a symbol of the fleeting nature of life, reminds us to stop and enjoy our time in the sun.
