MICHAEL TO RECEIVE SOLSTICE AWARD
The Science Fiction Writers of America have selected Michael Whelan to receive special recognition at this year’s Nebula Awards Banquet in Washington, D.C.
“The Solstice Award is for individuals who have had a significant impact on the science fiction or fantasy landscape, and is particularly intended for those who have consistently made a major, positive difference within the speculative fiction field.”
There are many events during the weekend, including a massive book-signing, that are open to the public.
